In 2010 we started Pip & Pin at a kitchen table with Grandma's yarn stash and no plan at all. Sixteen years later we're still here. We built it through design school, day jobs, babies, a move to another country and plenty of plot twists. We never had a quiet year.

Megan & Katie

Megan is the designer behind Pip & Pin. She's written over 100 knitting patterns, had her designs published in books and magazines, and teaches sweater fit and design at Knit City and online. She's the one knitters know from our patterns, videos and classes.

Katie is the strategist. With a background in design and ecommerce, she built the Pip & Pin brand, then the marketing, systems and courses behind it.

Together, we've run Pip & Pin since 2010, and we've published four books, Knitwear Design Mastery and Altering Sweater Patterns, and a course more than 1,600 knitters have taken.
